TRENTON...Home To CANADA'S Largest
 Air Mobility Military Base

Trenton is home to CFB, 8 Wing Military Base and the largest Canadian Base. 8 Wing/CFB Trenton employs approximately 2,500 military men and women and approximately 400 civilians. Canada's new C-17's will be soon arriving and making Trenton well known for our community as well as our military. Our soldiers arrive here and leave here from all destination points across Canada and around the world. Trenton is located near the shores of Lake Ontario and at the west end of the Bay of Quinte, 160km east of Toronto and 280km southwest of Ottawa.Trenton is one of four Wards that  make up the City of Quinte West. The Village of Frankford, Townships of Murray and Sidney make up the other caring communities.  Trenton is popular for our fishing, boating , ice fishing and  cottage country. Pickeral and walleye  are popular in the area and many a fishing derby are held here.
Only 90 minutes from Toronto and 45 minutes to Kingston along the 401 and The Hiway of Hereo's.  Trenton is the heart of our military community and welcomes all visitor,s near and afar.
Known for the Trent Severn Waterway, boats of all sizes pass through the locks to smaller communities along route. The Murray Canal provides boaters with access from scenic Weller's Bay, to Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte. We call this "Quinte Country" for our excellent waterfront location.
If golfing is your past time sport, we have many "class A" courses waiting for you to try. Conservation areas, camping, bike trails and our popular sand beaches await you. If antique shopping, is your favorite past time, there are many small boutiques to explore to try and find that special piece.
Many smaller communities are a short drive away, and one can spend an afternoon exploring our great neighbourhoods orjust relaxing with many differnt cultures around our fine Region. Come for a visit...stay for a lifetime.
